DIGITAL PRINTING:

Files may be in vector or bitmap form or a combination of both.

Vector or Combo:
Adobe Illustrator is the preferred file type for vector or combination files. "Create Outlines", (found in Type menu), for all text. Save in native, ".ai" format in any version.

Be sure to establish crop marks around your print and indicate the correct size to print. (The final width and height, in inches)

InDesign or Quark files may be submitted. All but core fonts as well as placed art must be included in the package to avoid production delays.

PDF files often work well, results do vary however. Fonts must be included with this file type as well.

Please setup the file with any PMS colors in place. Color matching to CMYK or RGB callouts may NOT be used to specify color nor can any form of on-screen preview. Hard copy may be used to compare against, though color matching to these may incur additional cost.

Bitmap:
TIFF, JPEG, GIF and most any other types may be used with the understanding that color matching may not be possible and that the quality of the final print is very dependent upon the resolution of the file submitted. This means that any graphic pulled off the web will not work. Opening it in photoshop and "rezzing it up" is not much help. Read these guidelines for more information.

Funny things happen on the way to the printers. Please create a hard-copy or generate a clear jpeg (not a pdf) for us to use to check our screen against. If one of these are not submitted and the final print is not correct, we can assume no responsibility for the error or omission. You may also request a proof print be made to approve before we run the job. ($20 fee for most materials)

Finally, if your job includes a number of files, please put them in a folder with YOUR name on it and compress it; zip, stuffit or unix archives.

CNC / PLOTTER:

Files for vinyl cutting plotting or computer routing need to be vector (Illustrator) type with all text converted to outlines, stroked paths must be outlined and all overlapping paths must be resolved.

We can fix almost any file problem, priced on a per case basis.

CHECK-LIST:

  1. Convert text to outlines or send postscript font files of all non-core fonts.
  2. Put crop marks in file along with sizing information.
  3. Send placed image files of correct resolution.
  4. Send clear jpeg or hard color copy of correct image.
  5. Put all of the files into a folder with your name on it and compress. (note 90 meg limit for upload)

FILE SUBMISSION:

Files up to 90 Meg. may be up-loaded here. Larger files must be delivered on CD, DVD or Hard drive.
